Hi Guys, I`m sure we all have had a similar story at some stage. l was riding the bike on the weekend when it felt slightly lacking and the occasional miss. When l got to my destination l tried to restart it after it died as l pulled up. But nothing! Not even the fuel pump.
Once l got home l charged the battery back up and checked volts while it was running - 12v roughly. (Should be higher)
The regulator was knackered. l had a spare 916 unit (SH579B-11 Shindengen)
I wired that in and checked the running voltage at the battery 13.8V - 14.2V.
The lithium battery did pretty well to run the fuel injection, fuel pump and lights to get that far.
