Does anyone have a spare mainshaft please ? Or a complete main shaft with gears ?

Oops, just looked up the part number. That must be a corse mainshaft which I do not have. All I have is Strada shafts/gears

So does anyone actually know the difference between a standard output shaft and a Corse item?
I personally don't but...
I'm guessing that it just moves the gearbox sprocket outboard by 5mm to allow a wider rear wheel to be fitted.
In which case a output shaft from a 748/9*6 would probably do the job???

I don't know either. I do have several 748/996 shafts.

The info is buried here somewhere. So from memory... the race bikes use a close ration box, which is the same as a 748. The 748 has a longer shaft but a 5mm spacer sorts it out. I have a 748 box fitted.

Mainshaft according to the 1994 Racing Manual is not the output shaft [ primary sprocket shaft ] It is Tav 3 Part 2 . Tav 3 Part 25 is the out put / primary sprocket shaft. It's all there on the Ducati Racing Technical section.
