I have decided to sell my 1993 851 Strada. It is in original condition and has covered a genuine 9990 miles from new.

I am the third owner, it having been owned from new for 14 months by the first owner, who got it from Moto Cinelli (Stoke on Trent?). He did around 6k miles on it, then sold it to a guy I know from work. He did around 3k miles on it, and then didn't use it for six years, when I bought it last June. I had it re-commissioned by Alex at The Motorcycle Workshop in Derby with all the necessary work and it runs like new. I have only covered around 700 miles since then and I don't use it very much as I find it much too cramped for my 6'2" frame.

I have the full service history (and the service book)and the old MOTs to back up the mileage. The MOT runs out on 28 June but this can be renewed if required, and it is taxed until June. I had a new battery fitted when it was put back into service and it had a new rectifier (Electrex), chain and sprockets 250 miles ago. The tyres are not too bad and there is no sign of any oil on the fork legs. Overall the condition is excellent and mostly like new, although there are some signs of corrosion on the clip-ons and the centre of the brake discs and a few of the fasteners. The engine also has the usual paint flaking, but I have had the clutch cover and brake/clutch levers powder coated and they are like new. I have both keys.

I also have a pair of unused Micron carbon fibre cans which I will include in the sale, and the full Ducati workshop manual is available for separate negotiation.

The pictures show the bike as it is with the exception of:
a) the tank pad, which was coming off so I have replaced it with clear 3M tape (as recommended by a forum member) and I think it looks better
b) I have stuck on a carbon fibre top yoke cover as the original didn't look much but this can be easily removed
