Default Windscreen Polen Version

[Hi guys,

have found a dealer, who produces the original Doug Polen Windscreen, which is much higher than the standard one.

Would like to order it. Unfortunately the shipment from USA to Germany is 49$ I am looking for another solution. Probably we could make a grouped purchase.

If interested pm me.

Hi,

New member here. I have a 1990 851 that has a dark windscreen and

I would like to either trade it or try to buy a taller clear windscreen.

Who is the dealer selling the Doug Polen or Roche windscreens in the US?

Also, does anyone know who might sell footpeg lowering blocks for my bike?

And any suggestions on higher bars.

I know it's crazy to try to make a sport-touring bike out of the 851 but

my tired old bones would certainly be happier with kinder ergos.

I did my racing on tracks many years ago so I don't need the street

racing today. Just need to be able to walk upright after a ride ~

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The company here in the US is Gustafsson Plastics. Check out the site. They make a windscreen for just about everything. I have used them for many years and the screens are very, very nice.

Re raising the bars, the early 900ss brackets have a higher rise that the 851 brackets, however you can only go so far before things start fouling on the fairing/screen cutouts. Alternatively you could get custom clipons made with a higher rise.

Did a stupid thing yesterday and backed the car into the bike.
Managed to snap the stop off the side stand and over it went.
Apart from a few minor cracks and scratches on the fairing the only damage was the side stand and a smashed screen.
Been thinking about getting one of these anyway,
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Anyone else tried them?
Otherwise might be interested in a new clear screen also.

As for the side stand, I am thinking of drilling and tapping to replace the sheared off bit off ally with a 6 or 8mm cap head bolt.
Oh, and Ive stopping crying now too!
