    Thanks Lawson...

Truck loads of M10X1.5 .. but M10X1.0 is not in great demand it seems, except among a few 888 gear heads ...

It's not a special rod end made for Ducati.
Ducati used a special rod end with a fine thread. It's different.
But even the original M10x1.5 unibal is expensive (swiss made quality).
But it is possible to find a cheaper solution with this thread, because it is a standard one. Very few manufacturers offer this kind of rod end with the fine thread.

The manufaturer of unibal rod end is Schaublin :

If you want to buy one, just find a dealer in your country.

I don't want to modifiy my parts as it is for a Racing I want the more original as possible. So I stay on this fine thread. But I will probably change for a cheaper brand (rodobal or another one) or the SMG10.20 version.

Lougimoto sell a jackup bolt which is M10x1.0 at both ends. It might be worth asking them to make some with M10x1.5 female ends.

just supplying as many potential sources as easily possible. those that need them will still have to do some of their own leg work (calling/emailing). just because somebody's web site doesn't list the one you want doesn't mean they don't have it. another topic for another thread............

Hi Baba, thanks for the part numbers and technical info. I found the correct rod ends that you listed, with the 10x1.0 thread, on page 34 and 35 of the catalogue you linked to. Thanks!!

Now I just need to find a shop that can speak english and sell them to me!!!

I've been looking for these for a long, long time for my SP3 rebuild, so it is one more item I can cross off the list. Thank you Baba

Now I just need to find new bolts that attach these rod ends to the swing arm. That'll be fun……….

**EDIT** I'm away from home and can't lay my hands on the rod ends to measure them. Are the ones we need, the 51's, or the 52's with the 2mm smaller bore?

In fact, you can choose what you want.
Original rod ends for SP/Racing are from the .52 series with 2mm inside diameter under the thread diameter (so here 8 mm).
But strada version with non adjustable balancer used standard M10x1,5 rod ends with 10 mm inside diameter (.50 serie).
The special screw to attached them to the swing arm is the same for both (even for monster) and have an 8 mm outside diameter.
So we used on Monster and 851/888 strada a little bush with an 8 mm inside - 10 mm outside diameters to compensate this difference (ref. 71210081A).
If you choose the .51 serie or the .20 serie with 10 mm inside diameter, you need to buy/made them. If you stay on the 10.52 with 8 mm, you don't need something else.
