    Default 2 x SP5's on Ebay UK

2 for sale from different owners. I think the 2nd one has been available for some time (don't know why?)

The first one (#117) is the same one that was for sale at Riders of Bridgewater for a while.

The second one has been advertised a few times recently, and the owner has also posted on Ducati-upnorth - it's very close to where I stay: if anyone from far afield is interested in it, I'd be happy to pop out and have a look.

What's wrong with #117? It was on Riders's website for ever before it sold. I think it sold recentlyish and now it's for sale again?

I'm not terribly convinced that there is any evidence to show that there is anything wrong with #117. I suspect that it is probably more telling of some socio-economic situation that likely purchasers are in and the increasing "specialist" nature of these machines.

    Just my take on it..

    Hi All,

For me it is a number of things, such as exhaust cans, partial history, not to mention economic climate. I would expect to pay 10k for bike with the above corrected, but sadly just obtaining original cans would be hit & miss and why would you replace with anything other than termis. No offence on what seems a lovely bike just too much for me.

I am selling 117 and cant believe the comments being made which seem to be designed to spoil the sale .None of you have even seen the bike. Thanks very much!

I think 10k is a good price to pay for an SP5 irrespective of what exhaust can it has - gods know how much more than 10k I've had to pay to get my SP4 to its current condition and I prefer its carbon termis to the std alloy ones.

Putting 10k into perspective, its only twice what you'd pay for a standard 888 or 851 - for a lot more than twice the rarity and ownership kudos.

Good luck with your sale and try listing it on other performance/classic related websites.

    I'm sorry.

I've just re read the other lads posts and i dont see any comments that are trying to spoil your sale.

As RWG says, "No offence on what seems a lovely bike just too much for me. " it's a lovely bike just too much for him , not too much for the bike

Many , including myself would love an SP5 such as yours ( some would like more than one but their just greedy ) but we cant afford one , and thats not a dig at you, more our bank balance .
I hope you get as much for your bike as possible and it goes to another 888 loving owner and not just a collector.

Sorry .............. when I made the initial post I was trying to help, not hinder, the sale of your SP. The question posed as to why the 2nd one hadn't sold was out of surprise not, (as seems to be interpreted) whats wrong with it!

I think 10k is a very reasonable price for either of the bikes and I wouldn't expect them to be around very long before finding a new home.

What a cry baby. Exactly what negative comments are/were being made here? Someone wished one of the bikes had the original exhaust and I was curious if anything was wrong with your bike (if it was the one that sat at Riders's dealership for ages on consignment). What's negative about that? Questions that could have asked on EBay by any prospective buyer?
