Number 031, shown in the link above, was available for purchase at Ducati Tokyo West last year. The asking price was 4 500 000 Yen.
At that price it will be available for a very long time to come.
I see you are also from Melbourne
I have never seen one in Australia. Were any ever delivered here?
Mate,
Happy New Years 360.
From all reports Frasers never dropped any SPS into Aust, the bike they ran for the Aust super bike series back in the day was a SP4 with factory race items set up as close to factory racing specs.
If I may say Diesel has the first of any true SPS 888 in Aust, originally only 7 SP4 were imported into Aust via Frasers & a couple of private imports have landed in Melb recently thru various means.

i thought it was impossible to register SP4's and SP4S's (for road use) in Australia and the USA due to the emissions.

Doug,
No issues at all down under, the DB levels for rego are set at 90 & provided you do not exceed this no problems.

Happy New Year Glenn.
I haven't been on here for a while, sorry for the slow reply.
I'm positive that you are correct, no original SPS were imported to Australia at the time of release.
I remember Moto Italiano delivering a few SP4's back in the day; but didn't realise as few as 7 SP4's were delivered in Oz in total. I know a few have snuck in in recent times though.
I would love to see Diesel's SPS one day. What a rare gem.
