the pump is the same of the lancia delta of '80 and other cars of same period ... I suppose that if it's very hard to find it here in italy may be close to impossible in US

also I saw a old catalogue of 2001 that reports a price near to 200 only for the pump and ducati doesn't sell it more
I've one complete with filter and level sensor but I'm waiting an answer for a friends of mine that may need it and, however, I think that with delivery from italy and customs taxes it could cost too much, sorry

Dunno if 851 Tri & 907 have same pumps, though.

Funny this. I went out on my 851/996 yesterday for my first ride proper ride after the engine change and after a few hour she died.

I think that the fuel pump gave up but I did not have time to have a look yet. Normaly the pump rotates slowly and you can hear it working under load but now the pump rotates like an idiot like it has no load at all. I would guess that the pump element broke and does not pump anymore and that it is only the motor spinning. It could also be the regualtor or an hose that is cracked.

Does 1991 851 strada have the same pump as the three color and the 907?

Had a quick look at at and it turned out to be a cracked fuel hose in the tank. It is funny as I replaced the original once a half year ago and it looks like the new stuff is not as good as the old stuff.

Did you get the submersible fuel hose or regular fuel injection hose? The regular stuff only lasts a few months.

Submersible hose is rated as SAE 30R10. I got it from BMW but you may find a cheaper alternative.
