    Is the S4R engine the same as the ST4? I believe they are. Then this article by Brad might be interesting to you: http://www.bikeboy.org/888st4ex.html

    Hi rodericb,

    The S4R engine is the same as the ST4S (996cc). The ST4 and the S4 are the same (916CC). But thank you for the tip!

    Good to see progress on your project.

    I think normal 851/888 exhausts fit even the drop cam heads, but I know they will for sure if you swap to superbike (996) heads (and belts).

    I have fitted Silmoto spaghetti headers, originally for a 888 and unmodified, to a ST4 engine in my 888.
    So therefore the stock ones will fit too.
    I believe all the ports are in the same spot.

    Fortunately I managed to get my hands on a nice set of full floating braking discs. I mounted them and put the forks in the yokes so that it is able to stand on both wheels. After some research on the web I found out that the iron rotors require organic brake-pads. Does anyone have any recommendation on which organic brake-pads are the best to use for sportive street riding?
